I knowe by my seth thad Robots of that Size and typ are simply hell to model caus you have alway to have to make sure thad all kind of auf animation will work… so gread job
it took about 2 days. In that time me, Ian and Jeremy has been thinking and trying out quite a bit of different solutions for the different parts. Now that the base is defined I can start a second pass of modeling. That means going into the nitty gritty details :)
Seconded! I thought this might be it. Though I am happy more details are to be added!
Sintel for me was exciting yes, but I have always been more of a SciFi fan than Fantasy, and this post right here has set the spark of excitement and anticipation in me. Can’t wait to see more!!
The only thing I am not looking forward to are the end weeks when you guys become too busy to post as often. ;)
very nice and already impressive yet !
looking forward to see how you add detail !
If you have time in another post , could you show us the evolution of how detail is added, and maybe a few words about your workflow, do you finish one piece at a time and then make another one, or do you add detail randomly until it’s enough ?
what will you do first and why ?
anyway that’s very nice to see what append at the blenderfoundation ! keep up the good work !
come on, wtf this brain does in this movie? something stupidly designed like the drone with a “hat” in “BIT 313-A” from the same director.
This really a lack of conception skill.
Don’t mind this destructive criticism, it does not help at all.
They are not hating, they just fear that the movie might not be as good as they dream it to be.
So simply proove them wrong by making an awesome movie instead of replying on such unhelpful words ;)

Very nice modeling!!
Wow, 3 blog updates in 2 days!!
very cool block model. Little compose and finish result :)
Whenever someone models a robot and does it well I’m always impressed. It’s not as easy as people seem to think.
So .. color me impressed. Whatever color that actually is.
how long did it take you to create that wonderful robot? It’s very well made!

I have to say that I would be very happy with what you made if it was my final model. Really pretty.
