Location visits with crew

Today we had a near-complete film crew meeting on location and studio with Merle Bos (Assistant Director), Joris Kerbosch (Director of Photography), Eugene Sprik (Gaffer – Light), Romke Faber (Production Design) and Victor Dekker (Sound recording). We will do another meeting with the Grip (crane, dolly) later. Of course Ian (Director) and Sebastian (Match Mover) were there too.

Biggest outcome of the discussion on the bridge was that this location would have a lot of practical issues to solve; we should carefully weight if that’s worth the efforts (and money!).

Tomorrow another exciting visit will be to the former energy museum. I really hope the location is usable for us.

Later more!

It would be good to do a writeup of some of the considerations of what practical issues can occur for sites and possible solutions.

  2. J. says:

Will you put tracking markers on the greenscreen?

  3. Dusty says:

Ok! So who’s going to be the first to edit the group shot on that green screen? ;)

  4. Manuel says:

    Sorry i just had to:

    To quote Colin:
“Should be entertaining enough, though I beg you not to screencapture my face onto anything else. I feel like I’m handing you some serious ammunition.”

Just to have it clear, this was made just for fun not to offend anyone or to disgrace any belief whatsoever ;)

  5. Leonardo says:

Great, hauhauahuahuh, the greenscreen called it, he have a point here, ahuahuaauh

  6. 3pointedit says:

Hmm, cycs are expensive to make and maintain as well as light effectively. But what else could you do? Just hang greens on location, I guess set extensions are easy with tracking but masking sucks at the moment.

Perhaps you can get a second team of greens wranglers to carry mobile green screens around behind all the actors? ;) As long as you don’t shoot feet that would be ok, wouldn’t it? They just need a video tap from camera to stay on angle in FOV. That would break new ground!

  7. 3pointedit says:

Is it just me or is Ton the tallest person in that country?

    • J. says:

Ton is very tall indeed + has a loud voice = great authority to lead a project like this :D

    • David Mulder says:

From the few times I saw him he isn’t /that/ long for dutch standards, it’s probably more the case that the rest of the crew isn’t dutch and thus not as long :P.

  8. max puliero says:

    Hi Ton! :D

  9. Fred says:

    Hi,
don’t you need some markers on the green screen for better tracking results?

  10. Olaf says:

Where is the greenscreen shooting taking place? It looks like they found a rather large space for it.

  11. Excellent weblog right here! Additionally your site rather a lot up very fast! What web host are you the use of? Can I am getting your affiliate link in your host? I wish my site loaded up as quickly as yours lol

  12. Thanks for the excellent writeup. It was a new enjoyment profile it. Look superior in order to significantly introduced pleasant by you! However, exactly how might we connect?
